New Year, Same Me!

Happy New Year everyone! I can’t believe the holidays are behind us. Maybe it was because we decided to do a home renovation smack dab in the middle of the holiday season, but I feel like Christmas came and went! That being said, we had a great Christmas! There were a few minor bumps in the road – the abovementioned home renovation, a fallen Christmas Tree, and a cold that plagued our house for 2 weeks- but it was still a great time!

Now that the holidays are over, it’s time to kick it into overdrive! Apparently I fell victim to the holiDAZE and failed to get new blog posts out! Whoops! Sorry about that folks. But, I’m coming back with a fresh outlook, more passion, more motivation, and tons of ideas for new posts!

Before we get in to all of the new content, I wanted to explain a bit about why I chose the title of this post. I know right about now your inboxes, newsfeeds, and stories are being flooded with the saying “New Year, New Me”. Some of you may find that inspiring, you may find it to be the kickstart you need to become a better version of yourself. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all about self-improvement and in no way do I believe that I am perfect, but I’ve decided I’m just fine rolling into the new year as the same ol’ me!

2018 was a year of growth for me. I grew as a mother of two, as a business partner with my husband, as a blogger and as a leader in my online business. Like every year, I tripped on a couple of stumbling blocks, but I will not let those define my year. Instead, I will focus on the goals I did achieve. Rome was not built in a day, and as such, my dreams cannot all be realized in one years time! So 2018, as Ariana Grande would say: Thank you, Next!

Here’s to being the same me and working towards new goals and old goals alike! Last year has made me a bit wiser, a bit stronger, and maybe just a bit more fearless! I’m looking forward to using what I learned last year, to make this year just as amazing! As long as you continue to move forward, you are making progress!

I don’t make “resolutions” per say, but instead, I try to set measurable goals for myself. I have quite a few goals I wanna reach this year so I’ll share just a few of them with you all now:

  • Read 15 books this year
  • Attend doTERRA’s Convention
  • Pay off debt
  • Say yes more often, and step out of my comfort a little more

I want to thank each and every one of you who has followed me through my first (almost)year of blogging! It has been so much fun connecting with old friends, new friends and every one in between! Like I said above, I have some great ideas for new content I want to share with you all and I hope that you stick around for the ride!
